ProbateYoda is a document preparation service, NOT a law firm. We cannot and do not provide legal advice. No attorney-client relationship exists between you and ProbateYoda. This service is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney.

1. Services Description
ProbateYoda provides self-help document preparation software for probate-related legal forms. Our services include:
- Document templates and form generation tools
- Information about probate procedures (for educational purposes only)
- Deadline calculation tools
- Document storage and organization
What We Do NOT Provide:
- Legal advice or recommendations
- Advice on which forms to use
- Review of your documents for legal sufficiency
- Representation in any legal proceeding
- Guidance on your legal rights or obligations
2. Jurisdiction Limitations
ProbateYoda services are currently available ONLY in the following jurisdictions:
- California
- Texas
We do not provide services for any other state or jurisdiction. Using our forms or tools for matters outside of California or Texas is prohibited and may result in termination of your account.
3. No Attorney-Client Relationship
NO ATTORNEY-CLIENT RELATIONSHIP is created by your use of ProbateYoda. We are a technology company providing document preparation tools, not a law firm.
Any information provided through our platform is for informational and educational purposes only and should not be construed as legal advice. You should consult with a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction for advice specific to your situation.
4. User Responsibilities
By using ProbateYoda, you agree that:
- You are responsible for the accuracy of all information you provide
- You will review all generated documents for accuracy before filing
- You understand that ProbateYoda does not verify the legal sufficiency of your documents
- You are responsible for ensuring documents are properly filed with the appropriate court
- You will seek the advice of a licensed attorney if you have questions about your legal rights
- You will only use the service for matters in California or Texas
5. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES: ProbateYoda is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
NO GUARANTEE OF LEGAL OUTCOME: We do not guarantee any specific legal outcome from use of our document preparation tools. The effectiveness of legal documents depends on many factors beyond document preparation.
LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: To the maximum extent permitted by law, ProbateYoda and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from your use of the service.
6. Texas-Specific Disclosure
Required by Texas Government Code §81.101(c):
ProbateYoda is NOT a lawyer. ProbateYoda can only provide self-help services at your specific direction. This product is not a substitute for the advice of an attorney.
7. California-Specific Disclosure
Required by California Business & Professions Code §6400:
ProbateYoda is a document preparation service and is not authorized to practice law. ProbateYoda can only provide self-help services at your specific direction. We cannot advise you which forms to use or how to complete them.
8. Fee Calculator Disclaimer
The fee calculator provided on ProbateYoda is for California probate matters ONLY and provides estimates based on California Probate Code Section 10810.
ESTIMATES ONLY: Calculated fees are estimates for informational purposes only. Actual fees may vary based on circumstances not captured by the calculator. The calculator does not account for extraordinary fees that may be approved by the court.
This calculator is NOT available for Texas matters, as Texas does not have statutory probate fees.

We aim to respond to all complaints within 5 business days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may file a complaint with the appropriate state consumer protection agency.
10. Privacy and Data
Your use of ProbateYoda is subject to our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and use of information as described in our Privacy Policy.
We maintain audit logs of document generation and downloads for compliance purposes. These logs cannot be deleted and may be retained indefinitely.
11. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to ProbateYoda at any time, without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to:
- Violation of these Terms of Service
- Use of the service for jurisdictions other than California or Texas
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Non-payment of fees
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of ProbateYoda after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
We will notify registered users of material changes via email.
